Pastor Tim Blake

Tim came to Sudley United Methodist Church in August of 2023. Prior to that he served as the pastor of Silverbrook United Methodist Church, as the interim pastor at Springfield United Methodist Church, and as the assistant pastor at St. James United Methodist Church.

Tim has served in ministry in many different capacities since 1993. He has served as a youth director, music director, modern worship leader, singles ministry director, associate pastor, church planter, and senior pastor.

Tim is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree. He serves in the United Methodist Church as a commissioned provisional elder (as of June 2024). He has 4 children – Grayson, Gabe, Abigail, and Malcolm. And he has a cat.

Tim lives to share his love of all things Notre Dame with anyone who will listen and is generally lost to the world when the Fighting Irish are playing football on Saturdays in the Fall. He takes pride in his ability to name nearly every 80s song by title and artist within the first couple of seconds of hearing the song. The Black Hole (1979) is his favorite movie.

Kaiti has been a lifetime member of Sudley Church. She was baptized, confirmed and married here. In addition to being our Children’s Ministry Director since 2014, she also sings with the Praise Team and the Choir. Kaiti has three children and one grandchild who have also been brought up at Sudley Church.
She strives to be an advocate for children and to be an integral part of their Christian development by using creative teaching methods that are current and fun. Kaiti also works full time as a Veterinary Technician for Small and Large Animals, and she has been in the Veterinary Industry since 1998. In her spare time, she is a local 4-H Leader, is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist, gives horseback riding lessons, and does professional photography. Eugene Mironovich Iosilevich
Eugene, music director and pianist for Sudley Church, has been involved in church music ministry consistently since 2000, serving as pianist for local churches and chapels throughout his eight years with the Army Band, and from 2008 as music director here at Sudley. His early training was in competitive classical piano which later evolved to include popular and contemporary ensemble styles such as jazz, rock, folk, r+b, funk, reggae, gospel, latin jazz and fusion, which served well to diversify his work with contemporary praise bands. Eugene studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston as well as Syracuse University and the Armed Forces School of Music (Little Creek, VA).
His later experiences in the Army, especially during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, allowed Eugene to witness and be inspired by the sheer power of the Holy Spirit to minister through music as he was tasked to provide music for worship services (for all denominations) in extreme environments where soldiers were often hurting for spiritual nourishment, as well as state-side where families were aching from separation from and loss of deployed loved ones. As a civilian musician and music director,
Eugene has kept that passion for both variety in musical styles and, more importantly, for creating a music ministry with a deep spiritual impact on the congregation he serves. Finding his musical and worship home at Sudley Church, and having witnessed firsthand the power of this church to change lives for Jesus Christ, he continues to encourage a creative and inclusive approach to both traditional and contemporary worship, while always building toward a higher musical standard to best honor our Lord as the Sudley Choir and Praise Team. Eugene is married with two sons and resides in Centreville, VA.
