Welcome to Sudley United Methodist Church!

         These are not just words spoken by this Body of Christ; these are words lived out into the lives of all who come to see what God is doing in and among those who gather here.  We invite all to the table, all to engage with us in worship and in service, and include all in our prayers as we make the journey of life in Christ together.

         SUMC is known as a congregation offering reconciliation, hope and healing to any and all. Check out our history page to see how, even in our beginning, we have unconditionally served any and all in need of our care  – not in the name of Sudley, but in the name of the Christ Whom we serve. 

         SUMC is known as a church with a heart for mission. Check out our mission page to see all that we are doing within the community.  Yet, even while serving in these places, Sudley is ever on mindful to look and listen for further opportunities to serve others as though serving Christ.

         SUMC is a tenacious congregation.  We have weathered many a storm that has come our way, yet persevered in our faith, walked confidently on the path the Lord has set before us, and lived confident that we are here for a purpose, not to take up space, but to be a light along the way, an encouragement to those who are struggling, and a source of joyful praise to those who have forgotten the holy melody.

         SUMC welcomes you and hope that you will not only ‘come and see’ but also come alongside and be a part of who we are – the white church on the hilltop – the place of peace in the midst of the Manassas battlefield.
