Looking for a Church Home?
Sudley is the place for you!

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Sudley Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation.

Sudley Opportunities

Operation Christmas Child

Build a Shoe box online or bring one into church by November 19. Packing a simple box with small items can change a whole life and bring a smile to a child in need.

Helping Hands

We are always looking for caring individuals to provide childcare, meals, transportation to doctor appointments and miscellaneous needs for families who have an ill family member or have recently lost a loved one. Contact the Church office if you wish to volunteer.

Sonshine Committee

Do you feel God calling you to reach out to those in their time of grief and pain? Join our Sonshine Committee to help prepare meals for funerals held at Sudley Church.

Local Missions

Non perishable food items and monetary donations are always appreciated. The drop-off box for food donations is located outside of the church Office. Our youth go to SERVE monthly to help stock the shelves at the food closet. Also, volunteers are needed to help cook and/or SERVE breakfast to the residents on the second Saturday of each month.

Charlie's Place

A donation basket for men’s coats and clothing can be found in the Fellowship Hall. Volunteers to pick up bread from local stores for the homeless shelter. People who are willing to travel to Washington DC to deliver the bread or help serve meals are much needed.

Birmingham Green

Caring & Sharing Ministry

Donations of money, clothing and household items are sent to needy families in Southwest Virginia.

National & International Missions

Empowering Haitians

Your monetary donations are always needed and support projects such as clean water and providing micro loans to Haitian women. Teams go to Haiti in January and July of each year and volunteers are always welcome.

Ronald McDonald House

The United Methodist Women collect aluminum pull tabs from the tops of cans to give to the Ronald McDonald House. Why pull tabs? It’s so simple and there is more concentrated aluminum in Pull Tabs than in the entire can. Collection in Fellowship Hall

Fair Trade Coffee

Sudley offers Fair Trade coffee for sale in our Fellowship Hall. Fair Trade ensures that the families who farm the coffee beans are given fair wages and access to education and medical facilities. Volunteer to help with ordering and stocking the shelves.

Seasonal Opportunities

Kits & Cans UMCOR

In June, Kits are collected each year for our Annual Conference. Kits are distributed by UMCOR to those who are in need. Kits needed: Health, School, Layette, Sewing

Operation Turkey

In November, Non-perishable food items and money are collected to give the needy in our area a Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers are also needed to help sort food at the SERVE facility in Manassas.
